What the heck…dentists doing Botox?

This has been one of the most common reactions I get from people, and frankly, it’s a hard one for me to explain, even though I am “beyond-the-moon” excited about it. In my experience, most people’s perceptions about Botox seem to be incorrect. I can understand this because I had misperceptions too. For many years, I remember saying I would never get Botox, especially when I saw images of famous people who started looking pretty darn good then ended up looking terrible. I couldn’t imagine wanting the same look and those images led me to believe that was what Botox did to you.
I was wrong.

Once I truly started studying Botox and seeing the before and after images from clinical professionals who knew what they were doing (and yes, getting it done myself), I couldn’t believe how natural it looked and felt. I also discovered that those movie stars who ended up looking worse instead of better – Melanie Griffith comes to mind – that was plastic surgery, not Botox. Did you see the cover of People magazine with Christie Brinkley at 60? Okay, okay, she is a super-model and blessed with some amazing DNA, but why can’t we defy aging too and look our best? Botox is a natural, purified protein that relaxes wrinkle-causing muscles, creating a smooth and healthy look. Getting Botox is a simple, quick, non-surgical treatment that delivers great, natural looking results. Here is why I am excited. It literally takes 15 to 20 years off your face! When done correctly it doesn’t freeze your facial features to look like a plastic doll (like those Hollywood stars). Let’s face it, none of us is getting younger and I hope to live a long time. Botox helps me and thousands of others look younger and feel better about our appearances. I don’t know about you, but I intend to fight the notion of “getting older gracefully” as much as I can with whatever natural, healthy and realistic means I can and Botox is one of the fantastic tools in that battle. I’d be happy to discuss whether Botox is right for you.
