History of Meyonohk

Meyonohk is a neighborhood in south Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It belongs to the Mill Woods community of Lakewood. The name Meyonohk means “an ideal spot” in the Cree language. The neighborhood was mostly developed in the 1970s and 1980s and has a variety of housing types, including single-family homes, duplexes, and row houses. Meyonohk has one public elementary school, and is bounded by four major roads: Mill Woods Road, 28 Avenue, 91 Street, and 23 Avenue.
