World Waterpark

World Waterpark is a water park in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, located within the West Edmonton Mall. It has a maximum capacity of 5,000 guests, an average air temperature of 31 °C (88 °F), and the world's largest indoor wave pool with a capacity of 12.5 million liters.

History of World Waterpark

World Waterpark is a popular indoor water park located in West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The park first opened its doors in 1986, and since then, it has become a major attraction for visitors from around the world. World Waterpark features a variety of water slides, wave pools, and other aquatic attractions, including a large indoor beach and a surf simulator. The park also boasts the world's largest indoor wave pool, which can generate waves up to five feet high.

The water park has undergone several updates and renovations over the years to improve its facilities and add new attractions. The water park underwent a $2.5 million renovation in September 2018, which included repainting the wave pool, renovated cabanas, additional bathrooms, new beach area flooring, and upgraded signage. In 2019, the park added a new thrill ride called the Cyclone, which features a 58-foot-tall funnel that drops riders into a swirling pool of water. In addition to its aquatic attractions, World Waterpark also offers a variety of amenities and services for visitors, including lockers, changing rooms, and food and beverage options.
